Step 1: Meet Eligibility and Check Your Profession

Step 2: Get a Learner's Permit (Istamara)
- Prepare Documents: Gather your Civil ID, passport, employment letter, and pay slip.
- Medical Check: Go to a local clinic to get your blood type and a medical fitness certificate.
- Visit Your Local Muror: Go to the Traffic Department in your governorate. Use the Typing Section to fill out your application. Once verified, you will be given an Istamara (learner’s paper) and your first test date.
Step 3: Attend Driving School
Take driving lessons to prepare for the test. You can practice the theoretical questions online through the Ministry of Interior (MOI) portal.
Step 4: Take the Driving Tests
- Theoretical Test: Take a computerized test on traffic laws and signs.
- Practical Test: If you pass the written test, you will do a driving test (usually reverse parking).
- Pass Paper: After passing, you will be issued a “pass paper”.
Step 5: Pay Fees and Get Your License
Take your pass paper, photos, and required fees to the Traffic Department counter. You can use the Sahel App to manage appointments and download your digital driving license once it is issued
